Senior Capstone: Solaris Hall

Our senior capstone project was a two-semester endeavor that involved extensive research and design work. My group mates, Melinda Clements and Kayle Farran, and I chose to focus on creating a university housing building on the NDSU campus. During the first semester, we conducted thorough research to support our design choices, taking into account factors such as student needs, sustainability, mental health, and accessibility. In the second semester, we applied our research to our design choices, creating a comprehensive plan for the building that met all of our criteria. Our project was a challenging but rewarding experience that allowed us to apply our skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.
